Managing the Course Account and Student Web Directories.
- Forwarding Course Email.
  Create a .forward file in the home directory with the forwarding address.
- Changing the Login Password for the Course Account.
  UNIX passwd command.
- Changing the URL Password
  htpasswd /web/courses/tcNNNss/.htpasswd tcNNNss
- Display of student names.
  Delete or modify the AddDescription statements of the .htaccess file.
- Restricting Student Access.
  - Preventing students from installing and/or modifying web pages but still allowing web server access.
    Change the UNIX permissions of the course directory
    chmod 750 /web/courses/tcNNNss
    Use
    chmod 755 /web/courses/tcNNNss
    to restore access.
  - Preventing the web server from viewing a particular file or directory / student account yet allowing student access.
    Modify the .htaccess file with the <FILE> configuration directive. Place the following lines in the file:
    <Files aaaNNN>
    deny from all
    </Files>
    Restrict all access to a particular students directory.
    Give the UNIX commands:
    chown tcNNNss:course /web/courses/tcNNNss/aaaNNNN
    chmod 700 /web/courses/tcNNNss/aaaNNNN
